Phone as the camera

Record on this computer with your phone's camera and mic, over Wi-Fi. Phone and computer need to be on the same Wi-Fi.

Android: use the USB cable instead (best quality)

Plug the phone into the computer with a USB cable.
Pull down the notifications on the phone, tap the USB notification and choose Webcam (Android 14 and newer; the name can vary by phone).
Here, tap ↻ Find next to "Connected cameras and mics", then pick the phone in the Camera list.

No Webcam option? Your phone is older than Android 14 or the maker left it out; use Wi-Fi above.

Use your phone as a webcam in Zoom, OBS, Skool calls

Install OBS Studio on the computer (free, obsproject.com).
In OBS, add a source: + → Browser. URL: https://pd.exit9to5project.com/?view=cam (or ?view=cam&q=1440 for 2K), width 1920, height 1080 (2560 × 1440 for 2K; swap them for upright video). Tick Control audio via OBS.
A 6-digit code shows in OBS. On the phone, open virtual.exit9to5project.com and enter it.
In OBS, click Start Virtual Camera. In Zoom (or any app) choose OBS Virtual Camera as the camera.

If the phone disconnects, a new code shows in OBS. Enter it on the phone again.

Use on another device

Copies your settings and keys (not your script) to another phone or computer.

Best for small phones: goes straight to pCloud or Google Drive. In the menu, tap Save to Files.
